Mr. Sundar Sangma
VP International Ministry Development
Now Vice President of International Ministry Development for Haggai Institute, Sundar Sangma’s first experience with H.I. was at a regional seminar in India, in 1994. The H.I. vision of nationals reaching nationals captured his attention and lit within him a fire for evangelism.
“Since joining Haggai Institute, I have become more focused and hard-working than ever before, accomplishing what God desires to do in and through my life, through the H.I. platform.” An engineer by trade, Sundar’s ability to think-outside-the-box and systematically plan and execute objectives allows him to motivate and lead others effectively. In that, he heads the global effort to identify highly credentialed Christian leaders from around the world to attend the H.I. training. Along with his team, he also faithfully develops and guides the H.I. alumni associations and national boards around the world.
In addition to authoring H.I. India’s national training and faculty manuals, Sundar wrote Pressing Towards the Goal, a popular resource on goal setting, which has now been translated into Korean.
With a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, he began his professional career with the Government of India as a scientific engineer in the Planning Commission. He continued as a project engineer and supervisor for the Civil Construction department, before responding to God’s call to ministry through Haggai Institute. Sundar’s wife, Janu, is a senior medical officer for the Government of India, and together they have two children, Dona and David.
