Mr. George Zachariah
George Zachariah joined the Haggai Institute staff more than 10 years ago and faithfully serves as its Chief Financial Officer. His passion for seeing “transformed lives,” resulting in Haggai alumni becoming “history-makers in their communities and nations,” confirms his calling to this unique position of ministry.
A former captain in the Indian Army Corps of Engineers, George’s impressive list of credentials includes a Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Public Relations from Bangalore University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois, and professional certifications as a “Senior” and “Global” Professional in human resources, by the Society of Human Resources Management, USA.
In his banking career, George has held positions as field officer, branch manager, and banking consultant for the State Bank Group of India and as head of training and head of business process reengineering for the National Bank of Dubai. While at the National Bank of Dubai, he also established a class-one training center for banking personnel.
Since coming to Haggai Institute, he has served as Executive Director for International Advancement and also held the combined roles of Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer from 2004-2008. As a senior faculty member, he has facilitated Goal Setting, Leadership, and Stewardship sessions for numerous international, national, and regional seminars.
George lives with his wife, Bijy, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. They are proud parents of their son Nishant, a graduate student in bio medical engineering at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
