Travel Arrangements

Please read carefully all the enclosed instructions before responding to this invitation.

You have two options:

TRAVEL OPTION A

  1. Our travel agent will arrange for your air tickets. You will be routed directly from the international airport of your country to our training centre in Maui. No alteration, extension or delay of flights to visit the mainland or elsewhere is permitted using HI airline tickets
  2. We will not issue your air tickets until we have received your contribution. No other expenses that you incur prior to coming to Singapore/ Maui will be reimbursed. They will be your responsibility (e.g. visa application, domestic travel, exit tax).
  3. The air tickets are sponsored by our donors for the sole purpose of attending the seminar. No extension of stay or visit to other countries/ places is allowed. We are also accountable to the immigration authorities to whom we guarantee that you will come directly to the seminar and return to your country. We are hence under obligation to report any change in the travel itinerary, which you make, to the immigration authorities. Without exception, all requests to visit other places will be denied when tickets are issued by HI.

TRAVEL OPTION B

  1. If you wish to visit any country or place (including mainland USA) en route, you will have to send your minimum contribution of US$500 two months before the start of the Session. In addition you have to take care of your own ticket from your country and route it to visit these places on your way to or from the seminar. We will not reimburse the ticket. We will also not issue a financial guarantee letter, if the place to be visited is on Mainland USA. In such cases plan to arrive at least one day earlier, but not more than two days earlier, than the opening day of the seminar; and depart not earlier than noon on the closing day, nor later than the day after the closing day of the seminar.
  2. You must inform us of your intention to purchase your own ticket at the time of your acceptance of this invitation to attend the seminar. Once we issue a ticket, NO changes will be made. In the invitation response, when you check the acceptance of the H.I. Travel Policy, your agreement is before the Lord.

Please note: If you are opting to visit any country or place (including the US mainland), kindly fax or e-mail a copy of your travel itinerary to our office at least 10 days prior to your departure, so that we may be able to schedule your ground transportation from Kahului Airport to the Mid-Pacific Center and to arrange for your room to be ready upon your arrival. If we do not receive a copy of the itinerary at least 10 days prior to your departure, you will be responsible for your own ground transportation fees, which will not be reimbursed.

Health
Participants attending a Singapore session from Latin America or Africa must have their yellow fever, smallpox, and cholera inoculations. Remember to bring the certificates along with you. You do not need any vaccination to attend Maui.

Visas

If you need visas, including transit visas, please apply for them EARLY. In some countries the process takes up to two months. Please make sure the visa dates applied for include sufficient time to travel home.
If you let H.I. arrange your flights, we will send you a Financial Guarantee Letter. But remember that difficulties and/or delays sometimes arise during the application process.
Remember to pray for patience, as the process can be extremely trying and frustrating. Be assured that we are praying for you as well.

Visas for the US

Please visit the concerned website of US Embassy/Consulate in your country for updates.
Please let us know as soon as you get your visa. If you are going to attend a Maui session, and are denied a US visa, notify us immediately so that we can reschedule you for the same program at our Singapore leadership centre.

Baggage allowances

Please keep in mind that international airport authorities are very strict about maximum baggage allowances. Flying to Singapore, you are allowed 20 kilograms and one hand-carry attaché case. Flying to Maui, you are allowed two suitcases not exceeding 23 kilos each and one hand-carry attaché. Please note that you will be acquiring books and other materials during the seminar. The combined weight of these could be around 5-10 kilos.
