There is a reason for the evidence of Haggai Institute training in all sections of the Church of God in Brazil. Leadership from the width, depth and height of the denomination have availed themselves of the H.I. armory of evangelical skills.
The president of this denomination – which has more than a thousand churches spread all across Brazil – Sílvio Roberto Ribeiro is an international alumnus and also a participant in this year's Team Alignment Advanced Seminar (CDAP1). He perceived the importance of H.I. training for the church at large. In fact, he financed 51 church leaders (of the 62 participants) to come to a special seminar organized recently in the city of Águas de Lindóia, São Paulo. Spurring him on was his young and enthusiastic pastor Charleston David Milhomem Oliveira, another H.I. alumnus.
The seminar objective was to expose the leaders to the commitment to excellence that is at the core of the H.I. training. For him, such an exchange of experience would strengthen ministry within the church. According to the church leaders, Brazilian evangelism needs a greater number of committed Christian leaders with passion for evangelism and solid knowledge of the Word of God.
The training will be held later in 2010. Though the date has yet to be finalized, many participants have already enrolled their names.
