Measuring His Fullness

Post-training, Brazilian alumnus Giedel Soares de Souza, has been growing from strength to strength on several fronts. He analyzes why.

Ever since I returned from the training seminar at Haggai Institute, I have tried to be a better servant, husband, father and professional – but that, I am sure, is the common testimony of every participant who goes to H.I..

What I would like to share on this page is the extraordinary measure of progress the Lord has graciously given me.

Actually, the Hand of God was evident even when I went to H.I., as I was able to take the time off only because I was recuperating from surgery. Away from the work arena, God could re-mold me completely, and the results continue to show. I will share just a few things that have happened.

  • I was sent by my company as Sales Executive Manager to a little known city called Teresina which was 600 kilometers away from our original home place. Not only did I have the huge task of moving my family with me, but on reaching my new workplace, I discovered that the agency was very much in the red. Trusting God, I simply went on with the job, did everything I’d learnt to do at Haggai Institute, and at the end of 2008, I received the award for “biggest growth agency of the Northeast”. Shortly after, our company appeared in the list of the “best and the brightest” and I was promoted to the post of general executive manager of my state.
  • Despite our apprehensions at the start, these last couple of years have seen many blessings upon my wife and our two daughters. Our marriage has grown in quality leaps and bounds since I returned from Haggai Institute.
  • I went through the Faculty Development Seminar in Brazil and have been teaching at church and state seminars ever since. I serve as vice-president of the church in Teresina and have been able to establish H.I. church seminars as a normal program and the four modules were promoted right through 2009. Besides that, I have also been requested to write a regular column in a local Christian website.

I am grateful that Haggai Institute trained me at the right time so that God could bless me, and others through me.
